Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support on a leave coverage contract at an elementary school in Chandler, AZ. The selected candidate will work approximately 22.5 hours per week, Monday through Wednesday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., delivering services to a caseload of about 30 general education students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students in a public school setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families and educators
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Relevant health license as required by state regulations
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload and deliver effective therapy services
Schedule and Location:
- Position based at an elementary school in Chandler, AZ within the Gilbert Public School District
- Start date: January 21, 2026, through April 1, 2026
- Hours: 22.5 per week (3 days, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
This contract is for leave coverage with no support from Speech-Language Pathology Assistants or vocational coordinators. The role requires onsite presence to meet the needs of students directly.
